Should copyright of AI-generated works belong to developers or users?

With the proliferation of generative AI such as ChatGPT and Midjourney, AI-created content is booming, but copyright ownership remains unresolved. Developers argue that the training and algorithm design are central and thus deserve copyright; users insist that their input prompts and creative contributions should be protected. This debate touches on tech ethics, intellectual property law, and innovation incentives.

Honestly, neither of them deserves it. If a machine generated the art, it should just be public domain. Copyright should only protect actual human creativity.
